my sons girlfriend has a brother that is obviously not all there, they have been dateing for 5 years and he hates my son , no one seems to know why. anyway yesterday he threatened to kill my son and also said some terrible things about my daughter who has down syndrome, saying he was a bigger retard than his sister, he said all this on my sons girlfriend facebook sight. can i call the police or what should i do? (i know what i really want to do but this will end up with me in jail.

You have not said what country you live in, but where I live (England) a threat to kill is a criminal offence, wherever it is placed. You should call the police and tell them you are worried. They can advise you about what to do.

Most Internet Service Providers have Acceptable Use policies which forbid this kind of activity. This guy could find his internet contract terminated.

Yeah you can have users blocked from viewing your profile or leaving comments. Also, saying things like violates the terms of service for Facebook. You could make a police report that way if they continue saying stuff like that they can get in trouble for harassment. Better safe than sorry.
