Lost Zoom box

Suddenly the Zoom box/button/icon has disappeared from my Word 2003 toolbar. The various MS Word Help links are not useful. How can I retrieve the Zoom feature?

I can access it by going to View>Zoom, but that provides only 200%, 100%, and 75% options. Anyway, I'd like to know where it went, and why. And I want it Baaack!
