i have an old painting that is oil. was in my mothers garage she passed. anyway it is of 3 houses looks like bali. or south pacific. with two camp fires 3 people around one and 4 around the other with a plow in the fore ground. the little villedge is set into a hill side sloping from upper right to mid page left. sined smit lower rite corner in yellow. smit . with a dot or period.
anyone know if the early Arie Smit works were sighned with only Smit ?

the canvas is very old. and well would really like to know
