Cutters Way was one of my favourite 80s films. Loved it! ... Corruption, complex relationships & wonderful, moody atmosphere. Could never figure out why it was such a sleeper (well, here in Oz, anyway) I must see if it's still available at the DVD hire shop.

I had a thread on it, or perhaps just some comments = it's one of my all time favorite films. I also read the book, Cutter and Bone; some elements were different in that, of course. Not sure if the book was before or after the movie, probably before, but this was for me a case of the movie being better than the book, that being no dig at the book. The horse scene is up there on my list of memorable film sequences...

John Heard was amazing, and I don't use that overused word lightly.

I had rented from netflix, I guess it was a year or more ago, and Diane and I watched it, but you weren't up for it at the time.

Back with a thread link.

Eh, I can't find a link. Maybe I imagined a thread(!), or I wrote it up and didn't post.

Back then, I'd researched the film, and will give some links to what I found and saved:

Just remembered Jack Nitzsche's music..

Adds, some of those links are "spoilers" if you haven't seen the movie.
