My 95 dodge dakota, v6 lost its overdrive. The light on dash button to get out of overdrive stays on, and it won't kick into overdrive. I lost all radio power at same time . related??

quite possible.

the overdrive is electrically controlled on that transmission.

Rock is right, solenoid actuated overdrive is common. In fact, vacuum actuation throughout the automotive system has been/is being replaced with its electrical equivalent.

Witness the days of vacuum advance and vacuum wipers!

You may be about to jump in the deep end...

If it is getting power but not engaging, the news usually gets bad fast.

(a schematic would be the next step)
