connecting playstation 3 to internet and i pod questions

is there a way i can connect my playstation 3 to the internet via laptop connect card? I would really like to play online and i dont have access to wi fi.

also when i connect my i pod the system dosent register that its connected. How do I fix that because I would like to listen to music from my i pod while i play and is there a way to import pictures and videos from my i pod to my ps3?
