Why was a death sacrifice required by God in order to pay for the penalty of our sins and gain eternal salvation

Good one farmerman ! Smile

In my opinion, no. But it did create a powerful imagery to help fill collection plates. The God I know doesn't require anything. How could one little death symbolically provide salvation to everyone? Its a metaphor that was created to demonstrate an idea.
