Which means if you sat on a sofa Set would be vigorously trying to hump your leg with his tail wagging.

But you didn't contribute, georgeob1!

It's never too late, you know!

Heck, this thread is so off the rails (What was the subject, again? Confused ) that any little gem from you will suffice! Very Happy

A pal of mine went to Aussie and he said they had parrots in the trees like we used to have sparrows.

The dawn chorus was car horns pipping and indecipherable high-pitched screeching.

I'm a much nicer guy than Setanta, but I'm not his equal in pithy little rejoinders.

"Easy AND cheap " and a few others had me falling off my chair.

Amazing. I hadn't realised Set was that witty. I'll pay more attention to his writing from now on.

Yes? (about being a nicer guy, George). Now you're gonna lure Setanta back here & you'll have to argue with him till the death over this! You have been warned! Wink

But seriously, Georgeob1, nice to meet you on such an unlikely thread! Very Happy

More ammunition for msolga :-

A WAVE of ridicule greeted Kevin Rudd as he arrived in London for the G20 Summit yesterday. Not only has the Prime Minister been downgraded to "second tier status", the British media has dubbed him a boot-wearing geek from Down Under.

Well naturally, Deckland, I am utterly outraged by this! Those dirty dogs of the English gutter press!Evil or Very Mad

I mean, this is so low, so untrue, so below-the-belt!:

One newspaper described Mr Rudd's style as being "a charisma-free zone"

We, in Oz, know that Kevin is very, very exciting indeed!

Perhaps we should get stuck into Gordon now? Then those Brits will be sorry!Twisted Evil

Pssst: Any commentary yet on Therese's outfits yet? Not that I'm worried, or anything, mind ...

I wish Gordon wouldn't try to smile. It's unsettling, and kind of scary.

Don't be taken in
By his "Welcome"!" grin
He's imagining how well you'd fit within his skin

Aw, poor Gordon! Don't be too hard on him, McTag. He's doing his best & he's a very, very serious man by nature.

As for "our Kev" ... well, it's simply a coincidence that he & Obama & Hilary see eye to eye, so perfectly, on everything!!!! We are not remotely worried that more Oz troops may be required for Afghanistan. I mean we're not a NATO member are we? Are we ......? Confused

I can't believe that no-one mentioned Michelle Obama's hand on the Queen's back! We Ozzians have been totally usurped from our position of importance in ol' blighty. The yanks have got a woman doing a man's (Paul Keating) job.
