Unpredictable market

The US Stock market has become so unpredictable these days. You never know when the market will be going up and when is it going to fall back hard.Citigroup seemed to be in danger till yesterday with its stocks sold below a dollar and today it gave a good news of profits in 2009 and market has jumped so much high today. All banks rallied up today. Can somebody tell me if this is the bottom or the market is going to become better now?
