Approximately how many eggs are there in each ovary of a healthy woman?
According to wiki answers, 200,000
But you may wish to check that, or wait with someone with expertise to come along!
Sounds bloody wrong to me.
During when in her life? Birth? Menarche? Menopause? Just before death?
Good question, Jespah!
Here a chart for the number of eggs stored in the ovaries along a woman's life:
Obviously, you all realize that women are born with a certain number of eggs, while men keep producing their little tadpoles continuously.
The reason for this need for huge numbers of sperm, is that men, from birth, will never ask for directions.

See that little box at age 41 that says "End of Fertility"? That's what my mother thought too!
Which means that this tadpole found his own way without even asking for directions.
That makes me think of my oldest memory: It was a beautiful day of springtime, I went out with Pa and came home with Ma..
It needs lots of plus and lots of minus to make an average.
Obviously your mother was a plus...
Oh Francis, sounds like your parents had a lovely time on that little outing.
And congratulations to Pa, certainly a man with a well-honed sense of direction.
once a hunter/gatherer always a hunter gatherer
And it's always hit or miss...
