How to grow hybrids of passion fruit?

I want to know the kind of soil use to grow passion fruit plants, also the proper temperature, watering and sun exposure that enhances the flowering, and finally how to do cross hybrids, in order to have flowers with different colors. Also if anyone know of nurseries in San Francisco that sells kinds of passion fruit would be very helpful.
