A man rides into town on Friday. He stays in town for two days, then leaves on Friday. how is this possible?

Terribly gauche.

You know, this riddle would be pretty tricky if you said he "arrived in town on Friday" or "came into town on Friday" but saying "he rides into town on Friday" gives the answer away.
