What schools of thought would not work with Shakespeare's King Lear?

what are your thoughts on this? Perhaps you can put your ideas down and we can help you that way?

I'm supposed to describe why two schools of thought would not work, and why one school would. Problem is, I know little about these schools of thought!

I could say simple stuff such as, King Lear is not structuralist because it has a unique storyline that no 0ther work has, or it is not modernist because it wasn't made in that time period. Help!
