I have a riddle and I am stumped....please help me!

there's absolutely no context to this riddle, one answer is 18, if you assume that it's a traffic light, green 18, yellow 36, red 54

I did guess the answer of "go" and my friend said that was close...

go is not the correct answer...

Green is also 54. The traffic light is 54 miles from where you are.

I guess the answer is 24. Thats to say if the answer will be numerical. What i did is add the letter s.t.o.p(19.20.15.16 as they correspond with their placement inthe alphabet) which equals 70 then tried to find some relation to the word stop. Stop has 4 letters so i started thinking of mulitpes and figured maybe it has to do with the amount of letters and what ever squared term it would be. So if you have 4 letters, it squared is 16, then minus that from 70 which gives you 54. so Stop is 54. Apply the same approach to Green(7.18.5.5.14) that equals 49 then green has 5 letters. 5 squared would be 25 minus that from 49 and you get 24. I could be totally wrong but spent a lot of time typing this explantion of my thought process so for that I deserve a bit of applause.

I don't think it has anything to do with numbers I think it may have to do with a name.... I was given a clue of "r is the first letter of my first name"... Does that make any sense???

well I finally got the answer to my riddle.......... Green is 68.

how was it 68? sounds like i was on the right track though....
