There's some interesting differences with the nominees for the "British Oscar." Check your local cable or satellite guide for the BBC -- the west coast is at 5:00 PM and repeated at 9:00 PM. BBC does not have an HD channel yet, so if you have a wide screen and stretch it, don't forget the female actors especially have not gained weight!
Yeah, I think Slumdog won every Bafta it was nominated for.
I finally saw it yesterday, and I understand the excitement about it, and yes, it will probably win a bunch of Oscars too. But it wouldn't be my choice for best picture.
