Internet connection/local access only

The internet icon in the system tray shows connected for local access only with four bars of strength. How do I get rid of "for local access only? WORK OFFLINE is not checked.

It can be a variety of problems, it's saying that it's connected to the local router but not connected to the internet.

Your DNS servers could be wrong, your router may not be connected to the internet...

It can be a number of things. Have you tried to "Diagnose and Repair" (right click the connection for this option? If so, what did it say?
