I was a royalist at 13, but it had to do with the neighborhood I grew up in. Communists were hired to clean and do child care.

We liked to catch 'em young.

Ya know...I became anti-monarchist at about 8.

Back then, God Save the Queen (which was still our national anthem at the time) was [layed at the commencement of all kinds of events...INCLUDING FILMS, fer crissake...and one was expected to stand.

Oppress not the cubs of a stranger
But hail them as sister and brother
For, though they be little and fubsy,
It may be the Bear is their mother.

Gwad, I remember those duck and cover drills. They'd have a room of 25 kids all run to the farthest row of desks away from the wall of windows and all try to duck and cover under those tiny desks.

What a farce!
