I watched this in its entirety. A lot of good points were made. Things definitely need to change don't they?

What are your ideas for productive change?

*Also - I wanted to say that although that world geography teacher playing monopoly seemed pretty lame (unless they were studying Atlantic City- maybe learning how to draw maps or something....who knows?) what do people think about the young peoples' behavior?
Are they not accountable at all themselves? Is it the crummy teacher's fault that they act so ridiculously immature and boorish?

I mean we've all had boring teachers - I used to carry a book to read for that very reason - or I'd write or even doodle - but I wouldn't climb on desks...did you?
What do you think might have changed outside the schools to make that even a possibility of happening?

I think a lot of the problem is AT HOME.
Children lack discipline in this new wave of PC parenting.

Dont get angry with your kids! that gives them psychological problems parents!
Dont punish them! You will remove their 'personal power'

Feed them these horrible chemicals ( hfcs, sorbital.. long list here..) because 'in moderation' they are healthy. These effect a childs ability to memorize, pay attention and in some cases muscle control.

Turn off the tv.

Parents need to start demanding respect . Adults should be respected by children. It does not hamper their lives to be told what to do, how to do it and have a parent with harsh discipline rules.

We are becoming a nation of marshmellows and it shows in many ways.

OMG.. America is stupid.

America is stupid because they watch John Stossel and assume he is telling the truth as opposed to spinning some trumped up story to sell products.

You do realize that all the school bus drivers in the US are pedophiles and every item of food on your grocery shelves contains salmonella. Don't worry though John Stossel will protect you by letting you know the truth.
