Hmm, it was quite crowded around that time in A2K's maternity ward ... so I've left it a couple of days earlier. Wink

Yeah, but I'm older than you, Margo. (By one day. Smile)

Geogrammatically speaking, I think not. According to my world clock, it's now Saturday AM in Sydney, AU, whereas it's still Friday AM in Boston, MA, MA.

Errr... there has been a heat wave in South Australia.

Quote:
Australia's south-east is still enduring a massive heatwave, with Adelaide reaching 45.5 degrees Celsius early this afternoon.
The Bureau of Meteorology says some country towns are even hotter, with 46.2C recorded at Ceduna on the Eyre Peninsula.

To those in the Nth Hemisphere, enjoying the season known as 'Winter', this is 114F. In Australia this is known as 'fucken hot mate'!! The wabbit may be a little heat-stressed...

or menopausal...

One is feigning outrage for comedic purposes...or because ehBeth appears deaf.

The projections of certain murky bodies of water are just that.

Mind you, it IS ridiculously hot...

Mirages, Petal. Just mirages in the desert. Drink plenty of fluids and avoid soy products.

Mind you, it's ridiculously hot here, too. Blazing sun and 64ยบ in the shade. Of course, the trees are bare at the moment so there isn't much shade to be had. Can't do much but sweat it out, either outdoors in the sun or else indoors next to the woodstove.

The weather was much the same back then.

I believe I joined abuzz in the winter of 1999. If memory serves me correctly it too was through a NYTimes link. I believe I remember a lot of people were worried how the so called Y2K bug would affect the Abuzz servers.

Then I moved onto Les Anarchistes Artistiques, the small independent art community run by Thedivaden, sometime after my 30th birthday.
