I'm the fifth or so listed A2K member, but three of the first "members" are actually fake accounts so I'm the second after, of course, Robert.

There weren't fake accounts (other than "Administrator" and "Moderator"), they were friends of mine and business partners in FluencyNow (the English school we owned that funded the initial site). They just never got into posting on the forum.

I'm trying to figure out when I joined Abuzz. I know I'd been on Abuzz for some time before 9/11/2001 but I'm not sure if I joined in late 2000 or early 2001.

That was my first computer. I was in Brazil and got online to read the news from around the world, and followed the NYTimes links and it was the first online community I joined.

I joined A2K in February, 2003.

In case anyone hasn't spotted it yet, you can view any member's start date on their profile page.

Joined a2k on September 19, 2002, about a week after ehBeth, making me member # 15 or 17, or thereabouts. Signed up for abuzz just after the 2000 elections, beating Craven by maybe a month. His first post was maybe a roll call, so I signed in as present.

Same here except I joined Abuzz in 1999.

I can't believe it's been 10 years either. Where does the time go?

You were already there when I showed up, so late 2000 is more likely.

You joined after January 2001, and before May 2001. I know you joined after me (January 2001), and I know Diva and I talked about you when we met in Paris, which was the weekend Douglas Adams died (May 11).

I am very impressed with how the pictures

Its hard to read your profile, tho.

I joined ABUZZ in 2000. I can't forget that as the Olympic Games were in Sydney that year.

I moved over here in late 2002 - if I could be bothered to track it down, it would be in the first 450 members.

I am still waiting for some sort of 'cred'. However; abuse, personal vilification, insults and character assasination are still popular with A2K. Did I happen to mention: Fuck you all!!!

Mr Stillwater,

In recognition of the rocky mountain you've climbed to get here, I hereby present to you the Longevity Award. Don't pee your pants over it. It's been waterproofed.
