That baby poop colored outfit has got to go. Ick.

She will SO not be the next Jackie O in that get up.

I know she can do better.

Who dressed her?

@Bella Dea,
Isabelle Toledo.

I think I like it.

Looks better in the sun than in artificial lighting.

@Bella Dea,
I'm with you Bella. I think it made her look frumpy. This dress is more fitting for a more mature woman (nice way of saying old lady). She is a pretty lady and should have worn something with a bit more style. I think she may have wanted to look more toned down and conservative.

It was gold! And sparkly! I thought it was a little formal, but I suppose a First Lady can't be too formal.

You've spent too much time looking at baby poop, Bella. Laughing

@Bella Dea,
She's not paid to think. She pays people to think.

I liked Michelle's ensemble. And the gloves. The color was pretty next to her skin. Laura Bush's grey ensemble was very, very nice too.

@eoe,
i though the hat and the gloves were a nice extra touch...they matched the suit color perfectly and were not boring.

ah well, to each their own. i saw in it a perfect color coordination, which i always appreciate.

I was more impressed by having her two daughters stand my their father as he took the oath than how she was dressed. I have a feeling that she pulled a surprise on Obama when she did that.

Dresses? Gloves? Hats?

A little pettiness going on here? Maybe?

Didn't we just hear a very moving presentation laying out a new direction? A call to responsibility? Unity? Acceptance?

I thought immaturity was headed back to Crawford.

@BumbleBeeBoogie,
Of course all else is more important, but fashion is something else to talk about.

@squinney,
Of course - we all know that the other stuff is important - but fashion is also a topic of discussion and appearances are important.

purse! i meant a purse. everybody was talking about aretha's hat so it slipped out Smile

OF COURSE i was listening to the speeches and was DEEPLY moved. that doesn't mean i'm petty when i also discuss what anybody wore. my choice, i believe Wink -- speaking in general terms of course, not about myself per se.

@dagmaraka,
I was reading it as catty. Just my two cents and obviously my issue.

Carry on.

(Oh, and Aretha is Queen. Her name is always capitalized.) Very Happy
