For me hands down, my favorite sitcom theme is the theme from "Cheers".

I finally figured it out!

i voted for the barney miller theme in the "which song has the funkiest bassline" thread

it's kind of funny, the seinfeld theme kind of sounds like the night court theme, which kind of sounds like the barney miller theme

in the 80's british electronic group the art of noise did a remake of the peter gunn theme featuring duane eddy
