well......

i'm going old school, for lyrics, the addams family, for straight music, the munsters

the munsters theme had a huge resurgence a few years back among dj's putting together mashups, it's really a pretty funky tune

For me hands down, my favorite sitcom theme is the theme from "Cheers".

Making your way in the world today
takes everything you've got.
Taking a break from all your worries,
sure would help alot.

Wouldn't you like to get away?

All those nights when you've got no lights,
the check is in the mail;
and your little angel
hung the cat up by its tail;
And your third fiance didnt show;

Sometimes you want to go
where everybody knows your name,
and they're always glad you came;
You want to be where you can see,
Our troubles are all the same;
You want to be where everybody knows your name.

Roll out of bed, Mr. Coffee's dead;
The morning's looking bright;
And your shrink ran off to Europe,
And didn't even write;
And your husband wants to be a girl;

Be glad there's one place in the world
Where everybody knows your name,
And they're always glad you came;
You want to go where people know,
People are all the same;
You want to go where everybody knows your name.

Where everybody knows your name,
And they're always glad you came;
Where everybody knows your name,
And they're always glad you came...

i voted for the barney miller theme in the "which song has the funkiest bassline" thread

it's kind of funny, the seinfeld theme kind of sounds like the night court theme, which kind of sounds like the barney miller theme

MASH from the movie was better - with the words.

I don't like it but it's "GET OUT OF MY HEAD YOU BASTARD" song: Greatest American Hero

Not a sitcom but i always liked these lyrics —
"When you find yourself in danger
When you're threatened by a stranger
When it looks like you will take a lickin'
There is one thing you should learn
When there is no one else to turn to
Call for Superchicken"

Puts a big smile on my face everytime I think about it

For theme-"Miami Vice". It was so exhilarating. I'd rush to get to the tube, crank up the volume, dance around and then change the channel. Rolling Eyes
