I think everyone should have the right to know who their parents are but you might have to wait until you are 18.

A lot of adoption websites have message boards where you can list your personal info (birth date, place of birth, last name) and see if someone is searching for you.

It could very well be that she doesn't know or remember. Or like someone else said, there could be a very good reason.

My sister Y gave up two children and both looked her up when they got old enough. They were both extremely disappointed when they met her. One won't even talk to her.
