UN Res 181 created the "jew-state" and the "arab-state" at the same time.
Thus if Israel is a state, then so is Palestine and both with the same legal borders they were awarded by the same resolution.

The United States isn't going to allow that.

The United States will continue to try to bring about negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians, which will lead to something resembling 1967 borders if ever successful.

The United States will protect Israel from any effort to make them withdraw from territory outside the negotiation process, even if a Palestinian state is unilaterally declared.
