That's wonderful news.
Your daughter is so beautiful- what a smile- she looks like a happy child and I'm sure she'll be a wonderful big sister.

* it's fun to look at a picture of a child in a summer dress and flip- flops sitting on Santa's lap. Where I'm from, all the kids are in their winter coats and snow boots- it took me a minute to figure out 'What's different about this picture?'

I can remember Christmas days with the whole family sitting around with damp face cloths around their neck. As kids, we always had Christmas day at whatever family member happened to have a pool at the time.

Oh wait, you're Australian, you start with cricket and move on to rugby!

wilso!

you need to put a warning up before posting a picture like that.

Something like.....

Cuteness Alert!
Do not view you you are subject to spontaneously gushing "ohhhhhh.....how cute!"

She'd have to be cute, because if she wasn't we'd probably kill her! When she has a tantrum she explodes like Vesuvius.

I can't believe that this little girl came from me. I've got a face that could stop clocks. Thank god for her mother.

I've got an idea for a terrific picture wilso...

the summer before the last, my 3 and 1/2 year old neighbor was all into fairy costumes. She had at least 4 of them, all with detachable wings like your little girl is wearing.

anyway, shewolf was commissioned to take some family pictures/portraits.

In one of them, my little friend was wearing her favorite fairy outfit, and had just jumped off small wall (in a botanical garden).
She was looking down, with her harms spread a little bit for balance. Shewolf got the shot just as her little pointed feet were about 6 inches from the ground.

It looked like she was a real fairy, just landing in a beautiful flower garden.

Your daughter would look adorable that way.

Nee has been in hospital since last Thursday. She had some bleeding, and was having some contractions, so they decided to keep her in. Apparently there's some blood behind the placenta, so they have to keep monitoring in case it detaches. The plan is, if she doesn't deliver beforehand, to induce her labour at 36 weeks (about next Tuesday). This afternoon she started having some contractions, so they moved her to the birthing unit, but by the time I arrived they had abated again. It's a roller coaster to say the least.

Looks like another false labour (the third in the last 4 weeks). After 5 hours, they sent us home again.

Oy, that's nerve wrecking, isn't it? My fingers are crossed and I hope that
the second "little Wilso" shows up as planned. Good luck!
