giant cryptic colossus no 205

Hi everyone. I am so pleased with myself that I have ALMOST managed to finish this months cryptic crossword all except for one clue which is a three letter word, N?S and the clue says Harry the Horse. Any ideas crossworders?

NAG is the answer, I would think (as in hassled and harried). I'm sure someone will confirm. What clue yielded the "s"?

Hi Verso

My suggestion is "NAG". A nag is a horse, and you can also 'harry" and 'nag' somebody, both words being synonyms.

Are you certain your 's' is correct?

Sorry Lmur hadn't seen your post but we seem to think the same answer. Smile

many thanks you are right of course - I realise my 2d where I had swordfishes could possibly and more likely to be swordfights
