A neighbor gave me a gift set of Numi Flowering Tea. Has anyone here ever had it?
I'll try a pot of it later tonight. Thanks for any information! Below is a six minute video.

I saw these flowering teas some years ago at an international food conference. Beautiful.

But you had to order them by the pallet directly from China. It came to about 12 cents per bud pod.

I thought to myself that one of the big tea companies is going to market them soon. Took about three years. They are packaged and sold all over the place. Numi is not the only one selling this tea (which by the way is not a tea)

To confirm:

The flower bud is not a tea. The tea leaves are infused into the petals of the flower. When the flower unfolds in hot water, the tea begins its brewing.

Flowering buds that are infused with herbal teas are called tisanes.
