I would like to know The top three most popular/best selling books for the following age groups: Girls 12-13yrs old, Girls 6-7 yrs old, Girls Less than a year old/newborn. Therefore, I need a total of 9 book titles and best places online to buy, must be new (for gifts). If you could help me in this it would be really great. Thanks and Regards.

I'm not sure if you can find best-sellers grouped in that way. I did find this:

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/28/books/bestseller/bestchildren.html

It separates picture books (small children, pre-readers) from chapter books (which would cover the 6-13-yr old bracket).

Unscientifically, from my own observations as the mother of an 8-year old, here are some guesses:

12-13 years old:
Harry Potter series
Twilight series

6-7 years old:
Junie B. Jones series
Magic Treehouse series

Babies:
"Everywhere Babies"
Helen Oxenbury board books ("Clap hands," "All Fall Down," etc. Four in the series.)

(I know that's only two per category rather than three, but I kinda got stuck after two for each.)

If you restrict your choices to just the top three in the most popular list, there is a great possibility that the recipient of your gift probably already has the book or has at least read it.

What are the gift recipients interested in?

As for online ordering, Amazon.com is probably the best known and easiest to access from many countries. They even have a children's book section which sorts into various categories to make your selection easier.
