New York State Law - Changes in

I read a section of New York State law tonight from the State Assembly's website.

I find it is somewhat different than the way I remember it. I suspect that the explanation is that the Legislature enacted a change in the law since the prior time I read it.

How can I check and ascertain precisely what change the Legislature made and when?
