hot oil smell

sometimes when i am driving i get a wiff of a burning oil smell...my check engine light has also come on yet AGAIN with same code burning lean..71 and 51 right bank lean i think it is..any suggestions...i have replaced O2 sensors as instructed by mechanic but still get check engine light and uses a quart of oil ever 500 miles..what's up???? Help!!! TY

most likely seperate problems...

My guess as to the oil smell and or usage would start at the valve covers.

(you have a leak somewhere)

O2 imbalance needs more info and prolly can't de diagnosed here.

the tags say 1996 crown victoria

Im going to guess , at regular (ish) use.. mileage to be about 150-170

Try replacing the engine and see it that helps. If not, it may be your injectors.
