There is a movement afoot here in the US to send shoes to
Soles for Souls in the name of George Bush.
Another one is attempting to get a million old shoes sent to the White House for Mr. Bush's farewell. There is an effort to redirect it to the first one so the gesture can do some good.
Perhaps this day will become a national day of giving that the shoe industry can exploit.
