I've figured this one out....
The fricking stupid government and the fricking criminal de-moKKKer-RAT party intend to make cars into the same horrible proposition which schools are in this country. That is, in future time, if you want to own a Porsche, Alfa Romeo, or Honda, or even some non govt/UAW car made by some newer American corporation which is outside the system, you will have to pay for a Detroit car FIRST and then, if you have any money for the purpose left over, buy your outside-the-system car.
I assume also that Fords, Chevys, and Chrysler products will have some sort of a government insignia on them in future time:
