You may be too late to get the last stimulus check. We always file our tax in the last quarter of the tax year . We were informed that we would be eligible for a stimulus check and we recd ours on Nov 25. I think the clock stopped for this batch. I may be wrong but I dont think so.

stimulus check program ended last month, and you had to pay your tax before you got your check.

They are idiots - first class. They charge 20% interest charges on their credit card, than gamble their whole company assets by buying subprime mortgage instruments that nobody can value. All those MBAs should have flunked out of school.

Just pay it man. They have very effective ways of collecting it and if you'd just have paid it the first time you'd have received more than what you owed in the stimulus program.

And it looks like you may still be able to do so:

Quote:
If you missed the Oct. 15 deadline for filing an income tax return for a economic stimulus payment, don't worry. You can receive a payment in 2009 by filing an income tax return when the filing season opens in January. The IRS will have more information shortly.

It seems to say you are eligible if you had at least $3000 in income, and that the minimum you are eligible for is $300.

You say you owe $250 and I have good news for you:

300 > 250
