Hypothetical time.

You were born very poor, your parents are uneducated and drug addicts.

they teach you nothing.

all you know is what you see in the ghetto.

you turn 18, all of a sudden you are own your own, and before that your parents didnt supply you with neccessities either, so you have been selling drugs at school etc..stealking cars

you even did good at school, excellent in fact. and then youve always been to over 30 schools, moved over 35 times, so your network base is non existent.your teachers always praised you also.

you need to eat

you need housing

you need a job

you need a phone

you need an address

you need references

you need to know how to make a resume (most likely not, youll be getting a min wager)

a minimum wage job job does not grant you any of the previously mentioned things except maybe a phone.

really now. if i had a house id be spending 300% of my income on it, thats way over 30% my friends.

Seriously, what are your options?

id like some legitimate answers, not some stupid "try harder" bullshit, a lot of americans have this naivety, the scope of it is mind boggling sometimes.

the world is not fair, it is not easy, most people know this, but most people havent ever EVER starved. never really had any problems, ive heard this crap that rich people have problems like poor people, the answer is no, and accept your good fortune.

ive ate moldy frozen pizza for a month straight.

anyone else ?

i want real answers please, i know most people i irritate with this talk, but it is truth, i just want to know why everyone just expects poverty not to be real.
like it has no effect on your outcome in life, nature versus nurture nature is the problem, my ass.

Oh, Please....there are food banks everywhere, religious organization using social service to recruit, various bands of do gooders doing their pet projects to "help" the unfortunates. There is no reason a healthy young white American male should be wanting for food and shelter.

As you have made clear in other posts you want what you want on your terms, and that is the problem. You need to work, work hard, suck up your pride, and look for opportunities to better your situation. Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity, you make you own luck.

Join the army, learn to get up at 430 am and work hard till 5 pm, get out in four years and use the new and improved GI bill to pay your way through collage.

Hold on to your fucking hat folks... I agree with Hawkeye. Your punk ass would benefit greatly from joining the service... if they'll take you. They’d smack the whine out of you until you learned to own up to responsibility like an adult. Won’t take them 3 month to make up for whatever shortcomings your parents may have had and you’d be a better man for it. Imagine having a reason to be proud of yourself… instead of this incessant whining.

you see, this is a bs answer, i work hard, im always praised by my managers, i wake up at 3, not 4, and carry heavy boxes until 3 in the afternoon. in fact JUST TODAY my managers and supervisors were complimenting me, they didnt know i was listening, about how i never complain and am always on point when soemthing needs to be done.

and the miltary, is the WORST thing for me to do. even if i am in a non-combat jopb i am going to see my firends in infantry blown to peices, well now they have that new anti-tank mine vehicle but still.

all my friends who went to iraq came back different. not the good different like after boot camp. my cousin was in supply, he lost 7 friends, hes not even close to the same person. hes blank.

i cant join the military, i have PTSD, they dont want anything to do with me. i tried.

they just work. truly sad.

noone understands until its them, but this financial, scratch that, "governmental integrity" crisis, will wake everyone up. especially if it becomes as bad as that guy who made those fractals, i forget his name, he says it will get way worse.

Got a job? Fabulous -- how many roommates do you need to make it cover the rent/food/utilities?

Can't get that many roommates? Answer a roommate wanted add. Someone with almost that many roommates is looking for you.

Hungry? Been there, done that. Ate hotdogs and rice 'a roni until I couldn't stand the sight of them and then ate them some more. Particularly the hotdogs because they were in the refrigerated section of the grocery store where I tended to wander when it was hot outside.

Bottom line -- get over the fucking idea that you can do this on your own and get yourself into a setting that makes it a little/lot bit easier.

cant afford it. but ive found i have a liking for xanax..

shit is retarded. had to stop that before i eevn started,was getting it for from a stripper homegirl free, WAYYYY too good feeling, makes you forget everything. like valium times 10.

im not lazy,im never late, i always do more work than needed, im not dumb,i didnt quit school, i just havent found whatever the fuck makes you succeed. its not determination, if it was that id be a fucking millionaire. its not patience, its not working hard for sure.
