@margo,
Margo, sorry for interrupting the fun.

But you had indeed a good grasp about what I said.

You are too modest, Hbg, I believe you know much more than eleven French words.

Maybe you know these ones: Je ferai voler le griffon au-dessus des corbeaux (Comte de Frontenac).

"The griffin's Ferrari runs on red wine."

Right?

(I am the proud possessor of a Joe Nation translation guide. He gave it to me before I visited France about five years ago. It made the trip SO much more fun! ) Laughing

@Eva,
Sure, Eva dear, but only with a slight imbibition of the latter, preferably a coteaux de Frontenac (Appellation of Wine Origin).

Eddie would like it.

@Francis,
i'm quite familiar with the "chateau frontenac" in quebec (particularly the dining room <GRIN>) .
i'm glad that comte frontenac brought french cuisine to "new france" and left it for all canadians to enjoy !

you may notice that the italians also came to quebec and opened " maison du spagetti " - would le comte have approved ?

I think so, as the Italians got themselves the spaghetti from the Chinese.
As a matter of fact, Marco Polo took the recipe from Kublai Khan's court.

I like the architecture of Chateau de Frontenac..

@Francis,
francis :

if you like the architecture of the chateau , you'd probably also enjoy the cusine - though no "spagetti" was being served .
we had brunch there in may (stopover on a maritime cruise) .

mrs h (on right) trying to decide what food to try next from the tempting tables .

I think those hamburgers have far too much fun! In any language!

There's a flying (or is that thieving) griffon under the wheels (or something else?)
