By going back in time and killing karl marx,
before he wrote anything, one woud save millions of lives
in the Second and Third World Wars, in addition to preventing
the ineffable degradation of communist slavery.
(Both the nazis and the Japs said thay were attacking communism.)

HOWEVER, great leaps of technology have resulted
from the frantic and well funded Research n Development
that was caused by the terror of a communist victory.

It is questionable that we 'd have landed on the Moon yet.
Kennedy boosted the Lunar Landing Program as a distraction
from his cowardly betrayal of the Anti-Castro Freedom Fighters.
Without the horror of communism, Castro 's existence
woud have had little meaning.

So I ask myself:
woud I be willing to sacrifice:

America 's landing on the Moon
and give up my 7 foot Hi Definition TV and computers
in order to retroactively rescue the victims of communist slavery,
communist torture, communist terror and communist murder ?

Its something to think about.

I m a libertarian but I 'm also a hedonist ( a very selfish one ).
I encourage everyone to be selfish; that is the natural condition.

My wife and I were talking the other day about this. I was going on about redoing this part of history or that. After a bit she looked at me and said "I'd bring back my brother. " He died last year, and could have been saved with a candy bar. Great catastrophies are in the eye of the beholder.

If it hadn't been theone brain-dead ideology based on Chuck Darwin's brain-dead idea of your neighbor being a meat byproduct of random processes rather than a fellow child of God, it would have been something else.

You'd have needed to bring a Fletcher class destroyer or some such with you back to around 18-whatever, and sink the Beagle.

Darwin caused no trouble; marx did.

However, if we had not been driven by terror of collectivist slavery,
we 'd not have landed on the Moon yet,
nor have 7 foot HDTVs.

Oh lord another nut with we did not land on the moon theory! Amazing as I had fell the ground shake and the night sky light up as if daylight myself as the last moon rocket took off.

The technology and the cost of even attempting to fake such a program would be at a rough guess a thousand time more costly then doing it in the first place and yet we still have the nuts among us it would seem with that idea firmly in place.

Without Hitler over half of the baby boomers would not be born. WWII created so much mass migration all over the world. Over half of the baby boomers parents or grand parents met as a result of Hitler coming into power. As bad as Hitler was he changed humanity. If he had not lived those parents would have met someone else in a peace time world and those offsprings would be born. We would not be here. There might not be TV, Microsoft, Apple computer, Beatles, etc. as their founders were the generation born after the war.

I wonder if it would ever have been possible to prevent organized religion from every getting started.

I am tempted to say killing Karl Marx n Fred Engles before thay caused any trouble,
but I am cognizant that in the absence of the Second and Third World Wars,
a great deal of Research n Development woud not have been funded,
with the result that we 'd be in a technologically much more primative condition.

That is to say that, in the absence of World Wars 2 and 3,
with all of their deaths, suffering, slavery under the commies n nazis,
we 'd probably not have landed on the Moon yet, and
I 'd not have a personal computer nor a High Defintion TV ;(I like my HDTV and my computer).
