Is dance a method of vanity?

I agree that ballet moves are not very natural, and because of that and the stress on the body, especially the knees, ballet careers are truncated. Still, the art form seems unique, particularly concerning the female roles, en pointe etc., perhaps, in the universe. It's a art form that may take getting used to along with a passion for classical music, and I can't get enough.

Everything is "unique"; nothing is equal to anything else,
in the physical world.

However, people who enjoy it and find merit in it
shoud attend it and support it, thereby to preserve it.

Seriously O.G. I worry about you sometimes!

Do you dance when no one is around? I do. It is not vanity - though it can be - heck - no doubt watching someone dance is a great thing - WHEN THEY DO IT WELL - but I think dancing to the rhythm is something some of us can't help but do...and it feels good! So those of you who dance like Elaine from Seinfeld...don't stop! Just do it in the privacy of your own home. Wink
