Feel no guilt. It's a great feature. I'm just learning the trick is to actually ingnore your Ingored Users and not open their posts. It's really helping me to maintain my high post-election spirits.

I've been trying to figure it out but can't. Will someone show me how to use the ignore button?

When you see a post by a person you wish to add to your ignore list, just click on their name next to the avatar to navigate to their profile page. Once there you'll find an Ignore User button under their avatar. Click it and POOF!

To reverse it, just do the same thing except click the Unignore User button, or go to your own profile, click on the My Ignored User list button and unignore people on the list.

Title: I Have Ignored My First Person

I'm sorry, but your title and your first post directly contradict each other.

If you were really ignoring your first person, your post would have to read, "Bella Dea just couldn't take it any more", not "I just couldn't take any more".

It's kinda like a 5-year old on the playground going "LALALALALALALALALA".

Childish and highly unprofessional.

Ignore has made my A2K experience much more enjoyable. I rarely look at a hidden post and I usually regret it when I do. I've learned that none of my ignores add anything of value to a discussion and usually are just trolling for attention. I do get annoyed when someone quotes their silliness and I end up seeing it .

I have it on good authority that BD ignores English professors.

Word to the wise ...

Me too. Does everyone have to quote everything, (grumble), given that the post number is right there with the poster's username ... and that the quoted post is probably only a few posts earlier than the respondent's? Apparently so.
