@Finn dAbuzz,
My point is that I have personally heard some nasty, ignorant, and/or racist comments from people here in Texas.

Are you attempting to dispute my observation?

This has to be my favorite Texas story for this election. Local newspaper refuses to print an article about Obama's winning the election.

Quote:
The Terrell Tribune's publisher, Bill Jordan, declined an on-camera interview.

"We run a newspaper, not a memory book service," he said. "We covered the local commissioner's race. We thought that was more important."

For those who may believe race played a part in the decision, the publisher pointed out that Democrat J.C. Jackson, who was at the center of the main story and who won the race for county commissioner, is an African American.

But while there were a few Obama-related stories within the paper, there was no story devoted to the presidential victory.

I suppose that if Mr. Jordan happened to be a pacifist and World War III started up, he wouldn't report it on the basis that the story on the meeting of the local Grange was more important.

@Merry Andrew,
A newspaper in Georgia played down Obama's win, but at least it was on the front page (bottom corner).

@engineer,
Well- it can't be such an important position when somebody can win it without a policy.

Not at all.

I don't doubt that you have heard some really ugly things from several people in Texas.

Is that the thrust of your original post?

"I have heard some nasty, ignorant, and/or racist comments from a few people in Texas."

If so, I should have just ignored your trivial post.

I have heard some nasty etc comments from a few people in New York, California, Georgia, Florida, Illinois, England, Argentina, Australia and so on.

So what?

There are nasty people in every corner of the world.

If you're not drawing a conclusion about Texans in general, say so.

@Finn dAbuzz,
Perhaps you should just concentrate on reading comprehension.

@DrewDad,
Perhaps you should try and respond with substance instead of 6th grade insults.

@DrewDad,
Sounds like you're ignorant, have you read any of his policies?

Obama in the senate voted the most extreme left wing on matters, with the most extreme left wing voting record than anyone else in the senate.

Imagine if it were the other way around "extreme-right" lily-white , they would call him a redneck... come on...

@michael1,
I'm sure that 90% of those who voted for Barack Obama did not read or research anything at all in his history as an attorney, beliefs, political practices, voting record, etc. I think 90% of those blindly voted for him because of his smile, but most of all the color of his skin... I'm sure of that.
Most who voted for Obama was because of race and ignored his policies.

@DrewDad,
It isn't a lone black, half his cabinet is Jews, just like Bush who had 90% Jews in his cabinet , most of them with dual citizenship in Israel. And the other half of Barack Hussain's cabinet is Hispanic, and Black or extremist leftist women. Bush was a leftist with all those communists, promoting stalinism with his homeland security stuff.
