on friday nights the quebec(french) TV channel has shown quite a number of old german (black and white) classics .
they have not dubbed them in french but only added french subtitles - just right for us .
some are real oldies - before "speakies' - even more interesting .

i just skimmed some of them but paid a visit to WANNSEE - those bathing costumes were rather revealing !

I have the DVDs for 'Das Boot' and the 'The Lives of Others'. The latter was about the Stasi spying on ordinary East Germans.
