Hi
Any ideas what the answer to the following clues could be:

They are all "sweeties" or desserts:

1. Let Isabella send the ingredients (7,5)
2. What a starter does at the beginning of the race? (4)
3. 'A ........ cream soldier' (Shaw) (9)
4. I spy prunes! Go cook them! (5,6)
5. Named after a Gallic cycle race (5-5)

Thanks for your help in advance

i think the first one may be some sort of anagram.....as in isabella send = the ingredients to the answer....if that makes any sense... so maybe its:

aniseed balls??

i searched on google and they're sweets...so yeah.. maybe that's your answser =)

just been doing some more searching....and i reckon 5. is 'Paris-Brest'
- named after an old race in the city or something!

A race starter shoots a gun so maybe the answer is "shot" but I don't think that's a dessert.

The only thoughts I have on #4 is "prune danish" but I wouldn't think they'd use the same word in the clue and the answer.

The one about the starter must be SAGO (as in say go)
