It's an interesting poll result -

Quote:

The AP-GfK survey included interviews with a large sample of adults including 800 deemed likely to vote. Among all 1,101 adults interviewed, the survey showed Obama ahead 47 percent to 37 percent. He was up by five points among registered voters.

I'd love to see how they determine their 'likely voter screen,' as this one seems to have cut out mostly Obama supporters.

Also from the internals, 44% of those polled: born-again Christians, a group which made up 23% of the electorate in 2004.

I'm gonna go ahead and have to say: not too worried about this not too credible poll.

careful cyclo. even stretch says that we shouldn't take anything for granted. it ain't over till it's over.

as far as polls go; i forget who posted it, but someone commented that the indies are the ones that are going to make or break. and i agree.

however, if polls are in fact reliable ( Rolling Eyes ), they do show obama with a pretty sizeable lead among independents.
