No news about her.

I just love the sound of that name, the way it rolls off the tongue.

DinaTempleRaston

What are names you love to say, just for the sound?

I always thought her name was Snick Paprikash until I looked her up.

Snick Paparikash...that is a great name....so is Snigdha Prakash

Wow, I like those last 3, especially Edith Piaf

It sound like you're making the sound of a leaky mitral valve.

Thank you for enlightening me, chai. I still think it's really Snick Peppercash. I mean, that's how you say it.

for me...it's Barak Obama, actually (al politics aside). The meter of it...the syncopation ... and those B sounds...nice rhythm.

I don't have a particular name that rolls off the tongue, but the word "gorilla" has a certain fluidity that causes one to pause.

Here's another good one...Sylvia Poggioli.....

I love the way she elongates the last name when she says it.

Poggioooooli......

I agree, chai. Nobody can say her name the way she herself pronounces it it. Another one is Maria Inajosa. Unless you're totally fluent in Soanish, you'll never say 'Inajosa' the way Maria does.

well, isn't this just a little npr love fest?

ok, not so much that I think is name is cool, but I always smile when I hear Daniel Shorr.

The man just celebrated his 92nd birthday in August, and he's sharper than I'll ever hope to be.

Love his voice.

re Dina Temple Raston....

That's a name you'd never hear called over the PA system in grade school "Dina Temple Raston, you're wanted in the principal's office immediately" unless is was to announce she won yeat another award. "Students, we'd like to share with you this morning that Dina Temple Raston has just been awarded the Noble Peace Prize."

Now....take the name Corey Flintoff....he was always getting called down to Mr. Schofields office.
