Well, I learned from the fish dude today that the hypnosis trick does work, it can be pretty much anywhere on the head (not necessarily just above the eyes), just rub there long enough and, voila, hypnotized lobster.
He also said the big 5-lbers. are probably about 60 years old, fyi.
Of course it works - I do it all the time - do ya think the lobster would just hang out and allow it to be balanced on its head if it wasn't hypontized.

By the way I had lobsters this weekend and they were delious and we cooked the suckers ourselves.
