It's still not clear to me that Oinkbama can win. Doug Wilder was twelve or thirteen points up in polls in nthe 91 Va. governor's election and won by two or three votes. Aside from everything else the PUMAs are making a point of telling pollers they're voting Oinkbama and every one of them will vote for John McCain.
Everyone here knows I hate McCain too, though I supported him in 2000. This is the worst election yet. Palin is the only conservative, and not surprisingly, the most popular of all four candidates.
Basically, if worst comes to worst, don't try to start CW-II on your own; wait and see what Utah and Texas do. Texas is legally entitled to leave the union at their own pleasure, that was part of the deal under which they joined it. Plenty of empty land in Western states.
