G'day there, Mr Stillwater.
How are things going for you?

Fine, fine - still unemployed. Mostly pissed. Still farting around with pictures of hamsters. To be honest, a little bit bored... starting to think about 'provoking the bunny' if you know what I means...

I sort of figured that. (Being a bit bored, I mean.)

Are you looking for work (like urgently) or taking your time & having a bit of a break from the grind?

But what is the thing about hamsters? I had no idea they were so special to you!

As for work:
-had a very stressful eight months of very intensive running of courses for the ignorant
-my (ahem) 'Manager' started saying that people weren't too happy about said courses
-we then had a 'frank & open' discussion that concentrated on that fact that she had written said course and most of the complaints were that it was too long and as boring as batshit
-didn't feel that my 'career prospects' were that great after this - so I gave them 4 weeks notice and hoped that the gods that look after idiots were still on the job

Ugh, I HATE those sorts of stressful work relations/situations! I'm happily working casually these days - it's just wonderful avoiding all the infighting, the internal politics, the endless, tedious after work meetings ... even if I am poorer as a result. I just do my job & leave. Early. But then, unlike you, I don't have children to support. I guess you'll need to find alternative work fairly quickly? Best of luck in finding something a lot better!

That's probably gonna happen. Only problem is that I bring to any new position two 'career-limiting' items; my attitude and my big, fat mouth. Both of those are always sure to sink the old SS Stillwater in mid-voyage.
