i went with the Lady Diane yesterday to the Obama office that opened in our neighborhood as she was volunteering to work the phone desk, we met an elderly volunteer who asked if I was also volunteering and I responded that "no, while it's true the Lady Diane was indeed a democrat, I remain a liberal," I then went on to say that the first time I voted was for JFK and this elderly (older than meself) went of to say he first voted (after returning from WWII) first voted for HS Truman and he too was a liberal but was going to vote Obama anyway.

Re: dyslexia (Post 3431761)
I was going to use the phone booth to make a call today because my cell phone wasn't getting good reception and I was about half-way there when I realized I didn't have any coins on me so I turned back to go to my cabin to get some and then thought, "What the hey", and just continued onto the cook shack where I proceeded to prepare dinner.

Re: dyslexia (Post 3431802)
Well, this morning, after a visit with my girlfriend, Ann, I went to town and got my grocery shopping done, and came back and got tonight's dinner for 10 all made by 1:30 and I was sitting in my cabin trying to find something interesting on A2K when there was a knock at the door, "Who could that be, I thought to myself", and well, it was the two funny and nice guys who are leaving for good today, so after hugs all around and exchanges of emails, they left, so I went back to my computer and lo and behold, there was another knock, and this time it was Dave who had come to tell me there were two more for dinner, so dang if I didn't have to go back out and get a few more pork chops, and well, I can tell you I wasn't too impressed with the late notice, but that is my life and I'm not a martyr, no, really, I'm not, so I just shrugged and got back into the kitchen which seemed a bit like a prison and whipped up a bit more dinner, then I decided I may as well wash the dang floor, so did that too, plus got dessert ready, and then I was finally free to come back and sit on my butt for an hour.

I'm about to walk down to my local convenience store and get a pint of ice cream. And it's all your fault, Dys.

Do you want me to send you a quarter or make that call for you, Mame? Smile

What kind of camp is it that you're cooking for?

Re: spendius (Post 3431820)
Thank you, Spendi, but I don't get much of a chance what with all the walking back and forth that I do and I heard it said my butt was in fine condition, so that should put your mind at ease.

Ah, I skyped him, but thanks for the offer, JT. You'd have to send the money to General Delivery in this burg anyway.

I'm cooking for a geological exploration camp. This is our fourth month here. We're packing up on the 20th.

Can't be too much of a burg if you have broadband.

Pop. 1126. No sushi in sight. 50% of the "restaurants" are fast food Smile I'd say that was a burg.

I worked all day...AND had to provide morning tea for all my fellow workers.

How come you people had time to be smart arses around the place, and go out to eat, and steal ice-cream from each other?
