"...and the same standards of clarity and candor must now be applied to my opponent."

<crickets chirping as everyone thinks, "WTF is he talking about?">

Actually, I say give the guy a break. Campaigning like this must be gruelling.

Sorry, Soz.

He slips up and addresses the audience as 'My fellow Prisoners.'

He talks about balancing the budget, then says, "this is the agenda I've set for my fellow prisoners."

Ah, he says "my fellow prisoners" instead of "my fellow americans..." Heh.

I do agree with DrewDad though...

Ha that was funny, the audience didn't know how to react.

The poor guy, he must be exhausted.

He said "balance the federal budget by the end of my term in office." I also heard him say he'll balance the federal budget in two years.

Which is it?

Signs and symptoms of Alzheimer’s

When Alzheimer's disease begins to destroy brain cells, no outward symptoms are evident. After a while, small memory lapses appear and grow more serious. The afflicted individual may forget the names of familiar people or places, the words to express what they want to say, or the location of everyday objects.

As the memory lapses of early Alzheimer’s become more serious, other cognitive deficits and behavior problems develop:

Typical signs and symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease
…General confusion, disorientation to date, time or place
…Apathy, irritability, depression, anxiety
…Problems with language, math, abstract thinking, and judgment
…Personality changes with strange quirks or inappropriate behaviors
…Wandering, hiding objects, problems with eating and sleeping
…Late in the disease, paranoia and delusions may occur
…Toward the end, total loss of self, and inability to control bodily functions

I don't think there's any way I'd get through a campaign like this -- with video cameras recording my every move -- without making some stupid mistakes.

And I don't have Alzheimer's.

I'm pretty sure anyway.

I've said some time ago that McCain was senile. I'm not sure what more evidence people need to come to their own conclusion.

He certainly is senile, cicerone, but the "prisoner" was a Freudian slip. It can
happen to anyone of us, especially when talking about the responsible parties
in the bank and Wall Street crisis.

Plus he was a POW, you know? Wink
He must have pontificated a lot to his fellow prisoners.

That being said, we can almost laugh it off, but with his temper and need to negotiate across the table and with foreign leaders, "that" is not good.

I believe it was farmerman who called McCain "uncle Fester" and I think that's
such an appropriate name for him Laughing
