i have noted numerous posters aghast at the "bail-out" with common assertions of "socialism."
I would opine that socialism in america began in 1906 when Upton Sinclair published his book "the Jungle", with Teddy Roosevelt getting passed Meat Inspection Act and the Pure Food and Drug Act of 1906 (later changed to the food and drug administration).
Then FDR came along with far more invasive socialism in the 1930's with such programs as CCC, WPA, Social Security and banking bail-outs.
