McCain: "I traveled to Afghanistan, and I know what they need....." but he didn't know where Pakistan was on the map.
wtf, mccain "iran is an "existential threat"
A "league of democracies" to tackle Iran? Sounds like a "Coalition of the Willing" #2 to me. Can't see that happening.
Obama slapped him sideways on the negotiation issue.
mccain seems to be losing control
yeah, he was there for a minute. How dare Obama even mention Kissingers name when he is friends with mccain.
Ooooh... McCain went to Georgia once.
CNN - the fan-o-meter. Thanks for letting me know about that. didn't see it on msnbc.
Yep! I had just said to the tv "there's a difference between preparation and preconditions" and then he said it. Whapow!
McCain might be getting pissed, but I've heard him three times try to put Obama down with "senator Obama just doesn't understand... " and each time the little fan-o-meter plummets for all party affiliations (or unaffiliations). Very interesting. This audience doesn't seem to want to see or hear petty digs at one another. They seem most interested in the actual topic discussion.
Am I just imagining things, or does McCain have problems controlling his facial expressions when Obama is talking? He seems pissed and nervous.
Open contempt is like a facial tic.
McCain voted 23 times in 26 years against alternative energy. Ouch.
Wish I could
see the debate as well as hear it. Obama sounds a lot more authorative than McCain on radio.
There's a split screen on CSPAN...
I'm going to scream at McCain's next name drop! (Reagan now)
"when I came home from prison"
Okay, debate over. That one wasn't even close.
Obama let him off the hook again on the surge thing. He could have said, "How much credit do you think you deserve for throwing one solid punch in a Trillion Dollar fight that shouldn't have been picked, John? Bin Ladin is still out there, where we left him to focus on Iraq."
(Not my opinion, but it would have been effective.)
